Plum Jam

Ingredients:
~ 5 cups of pitted, sliced prune plums ( 30 )
~ 7 1/2 cups of w. sugar
~ 1/2 cup of lemon juice
~ 1 pouch of liquid certo

Directions:
1) Slice plums into measuring cup,making sure you have 5 cups. No more no less.
2) In large pot place plums, sugar and lemon juice.
3) Slowly bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
4) Bring the plum mixture to a full rolling boil. Boil for a full 2 minutes.
5) Remove from heat and stir in 1 pouch of liquid certo.


6) Stir and skim off foam. Let sit for 5 minutes.
7) Pour into sterilized jars
8) Clean off the rims of jars to make sure no jam on rims



9) Place sterilized lids on jars.
10) Place in hot water bath and process for 10 minutes
11) Remove from heat and allow to cool.
12) When sealed and cold, you can remove band off jar and place a lid decoration on and replace band.
