Chunky Strawberry Jam


Make 3 Pints

 

Ingredients:
~ 2 lbs of strawberries
~ 7 cups sugar
~ 1/4 cup of lemon juice
~ 1 pouch of liquid certo

Directions:
1) Wash and Stem Strawberries
2) Slice about 2 lbs of strawberries into a large measuring cup.
3) You need to have 3 1/2 cups of sliced strawberries. No more,No less.
4) Place strawberries into large pot.
5) Add 7 cups of white sugar
6) Add 1/4 cup of lemon juice
7) Bring to a full boil and boil hard 1 1/2 minutes
8) Remove from heat and add 1 pouch of liquid certo
9) Stir and skim off the foam for approximately 6 minutes or until all foam is removed
10) Pour into sterilized jars
11)Place sterilized lids onto jars.
12) Process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes
13) Remove from canner and allow to cool, and seal.
