~White Sugar
~Lemon Juice
Thickening Mixture:
~1 c. white sugar
~ 3 tbsp. flour
~ 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
1) Peel, core and slice apples.
2) As you are cutting apples place in large bowl mixed with 1 tbsp. lemon juice to keep from browning.
3) Take 5 c. of apples and 1/4 c. sugar and mix in large pot on stove on med-high heat.
4) Let stand until juice gets released from apples. Stire and boil hard one min.
5) Add the thickening mix and boil for one min more.
6) Pack into sterilized jars within one inch from top. Add the lids.
7) Process in canner for 20 minutes.
*This recipe mix makes one quart at a time*
